This is the first complete piece of production work I made during 2011. I was influenced by a lot of the music I was listening at the time, a lot of ambient electronic music, instrumental hip hop, dubstep, music referred to as "future beats", and of course my long-time influences such as Chemical Brothers and Groove Armada. So it is an attempt in reaching those forms, sounds and atmospheres in a certain way. I have finished the album while I was in Krakow(I was attending the Sacrum Profanum festival, which is another great influence of mine, but that's another story), therefore I thought it was appropriate to call it by the name of that particular city.

My work is usually associated with drums, as it is my main instrument which I'm playing most of the time, so this is definitely not your typical "drummer's record" since there are almost no acoustic drums on it. You could say that this is what happens when drums are in the boxes. But, nevertheless, there is a lot of rhythm, and this is what fuels my passion for electronic music production, the ability to convey a rhythm in almost anything; any sound that one could think of can be a source for rhythmic phrasing. Merged with my love of electronic synthesizer instruments, which are today very accessible in the form of software, I could perform and “write” any kind of musical idea that was in my head, which is in the end a very liberating experience. And the end result is what you see and hear. Hope you like it, and hope you stay tuned for more!
